A monoblock made of strong lightweight alloy helps make the G2D1 Gas Meter the top performer it is despite the fact that it's much lighter (approx. 7 lbs.) and 40% smaller than the competition. The monoblock provides a protective housing for the precision mechanism inside the meter and helps ensure its long service life and reliable operation. The same materials are used in the side and main covers and help make the meter tough and highly resistant to environmental attack.  This gas meter is so compact, it can be installed in the hot water closet of an apartment. This gas meter is rated to be installed in the interior of a building.
